The Sam Jewison Orchestra is a London-based ensemble, dedicated to vibrant jazz and orchestral performances.
Since their formation in May 2016, the orchestra has played numerous sold-out shows at venues across London. Their debut concert, The Cole Porter Story, was presented at Blackheath Halls and featured the best-loved hits from Porter’s stage and screen musicals. Further performances included a ballroom of South Kensington's Polish Hearth Club and an appearance in College Garden, Westminster Abbey, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dean's ordination. They returned to Blackheath halls in February 2017 with The Great American Songbook.
The orchestra has also played two sold-out shows at Camden's famous Jazz Cafe, both times celebrating the music of Frank Sinatra on his birthday. 2018 sees them return to the Jazz Cafe with an evening dedicated to the music of Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fred Astaire and many more.
